Logistics Coordinator

Own the movement of cargo from a confirmed order to a delivered container — bookings, consolidation, documents and the updates our customers rely on. You will see a trade end to end rather than one slice of it.

The role

The person who makes sure the cargo actually moves.

Reporting to the operations lead, working alongside sourcing and documentation. Remote, full-time, with hours overlapping Brazilian business time.

What you will do

  1. 01 Book and track shipments with our contracted carriers, and flag a delay before the customer notices it.
  2. 02 Plan container consolidation across several producers so part-container orders load cleanly.
  3. 03 Assemble the documentary pack with the documentation team and check it against the destination's requirements.
  4. 04 Coordinate inspections at load, custody transfer and storage, whether in-house or through an accredited agency.
  5. 05 Keep customers updated on lead times through the whole chain, in writing, without being chased.
  6. 06 Close the file: reconcile costs, record what went wrong, and feed it back into the next shipment.

What we are looking for

  • Three or more years coordinating international freight, forwarding or export operations.
  • Working knowledge of incoterms, bills of lading and the documents a customs clearance needs.
  • Portuguese and English. French or an African market language is a real advantage.
  • Comfortable owning a shipment end to end without waiting to be told what is next.
  • Clear written communication — most of this job is writing to people in other time zones.

Helpful, not required

  • Experience on Brazil–Africa or Brazil–Europe routes.
  • Familiarity with bulk commodities or construction materials.
  • Exposure to trade finance instruments.
  • Having worked in a small team where the role had no fixed edges.
How we hire

A first call within a week of applying, then a working conversation around a real shipment scenario, then a decision. Three steps, no unpaid assignments.

Send us the essentials.

Six fields and a CV. A cover letter is optional — we would rather read two honest sentences about a shipment you kept on track.
